John Allen is a retired RN and is a Navy veteran. He has previous service as a Shepherd at Central Church of Christ in Van Alstyne, school board trustee, and president of the North Texas Lifeline. 

At High Pointe, John and his wife, Tahleigh, are involved in Medical missions, small groups and teaching classes.

John and Tahleigh hav been married for 53 years. They have 3 grown daughters, 1 late daughter, and 5 grandchildren.

One of John's favorite Bible passages is Philippians 2:1-2. 

"Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind."
