High Pointe Church of Christ of McKinney, TX
Small Groups

Small groups are a vital part of church life, for in small groups, relationships are formed to help us in following God and reaching out to others. Most people who are in a small group stay more faithful to God, have closer Christian friendships, and are better at sharing their faith with others.

Our small groups take different forms and formats, but most involve some type of meal or fellowship time, Bible study, prayer, and outreach or service. Some groups emphasize one aspect more than others. Most of these groups meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday night of each month, but others meet on Wednesday night or at other times. Some groups have a geographic grouping, while others are more intergenerational.

Additionally, some of our ministries have a type of small group dynamic with a particular focus, such as fellowship groups, ladies' Bible study, or service groups (e.g., clothes closet). Information about these groups can be found in those ministry areas on the website.

The Art of Neighboring

What if Jesus meant we should actually love our neighbors?

We believe the future of High Pointe lies in equipping followers of Jesus to love where you live. Meaning, what if every disciple loved their neighbor. What impact would that have on McKinney, Allen, Frisco, Celina, Farmersville, Melissa, and all the areas of life that God takes you? Our desire is to help you grow in your faith, connect in authentic community, intentionally serve others, and share your faith in Jesus Christ.

Not another program. Not another study. Not a bait and switch. Not knocking doors.

It's simple: love your neighbor.

What if you built habits and rhythms into your life of loving your neighbor?

Use this Who is My Neighbor as your guide to begin building habits of loving your neighbor.

The desire is that this will help build a way of life that transforms our life and the lives of those around you over time. This year to help encourage and inspire everyone to love their neighbor our annual Go:Serve event will happen in the context of your neighborhood. In your small group you will be able to plan a Block Party and host a cookout together the week before Easter.

We are encouraging everyone to get involved and host an event and love where you live. Your small group leaders will be guiding you in this effort. You have the above Block Party kit for ideas.

Lead A Small Group

Small Groups are an integral part of what we do as a church. We believe that sustained life change occurs as we are growing in a relationship with Christ, and that this happens best when we are prioritizing intentional relationships with others who are seeking this same goal. Small Groups provide people with the opportunity to connect with others, grow in their relationship with Christ, and serve together in the community. Our Small Group leaders create environments for people to develop and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
